Uganda's largest coffee processing and value-addition hub. A $200 million investment bringing processing home to Nakaseke District, creating thousands of jobs, and transforming the lives of coffee farming communities across the Luwero region.
The Luwero Coffee Value Park is Nonda Coffee's single largest investment in Uganda's coffee future. Located in Butalangu Town Council, Nakaseke District, this 100-acre facility will house grading, processing, roasting, and packaging operations under one roof.
Instead of exporting raw green beans and watching the value add happen overseas, the park keeps processing at source. Every dollar of value, grading, roasting, branding, and logistics, stays in Uganda.
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni publicly endorsed the Nonda Coffee Park project, naming Nonda and CEO Tony Miiro directly. The President pledged full government support and committed to mobilising coffee farmers across the Luwero region and beyond to supply the facility.
Endorsement posted on X (Twitter), July 2026. This is Nonda Coffee's highest-level government endorsement to date.
Farmers in the Luwero catchment area gain direct market access. Sell graded coffee to the park at competitive, transparent prices. No middlemen. No price guesswork. Quality premiums tied to international standards, not local middleman rates.
Thousands of direct jobs in processing, quality control, logistics, and administration. Technical training programs equip young Ugandans from Bukalangu and surrounding areas with coffee processing expertise that is in demand worldwide.
The park anchors a new industrial ecosystem in Nakaseke District. Ancillary businesses in transport, packaging, equipment maintenance, and services follow. Nakaseke becomes a recognised coffee hub on the global map.
Nonda Coffee leadership met with Bukalangu Town Council and community members in Luwero District. The project was formally introduced to local government. Reception was warm and unequivocal, with strong community optimism about jobs and market access.
Securing the designated 100-acre land parcel in Butalangu Town Council, Nakaseke District. Completing all regulatory requirements with district and national authorities. Engineering and construction partners engaged for facility design, road access, utilities, and equipment specifications.
A public ceremony open to the Bukalangu community, local government officials, coffee industry stakeholders, and national leadership. The first shovel in the ground. Exact date and program to be announced closer to the event.
Following groundbreaking, phased construction begins. The facility will be commissioned in stages: grading and processing first, followed by roasting and packaging lines. Farmer mobilisation and quality training programs run in parallel to prepare the supply chain.
At full capacity, the Luwero Coffee Value Park processes 42,000 metric tonnes of coffee annually. Grade, roast, package, and export finished Ugandan coffee products to buyers worldwide, all from Nakaseke District. Value at source, permanently.
"We are not just building a factory. We are building a future where Uganda's coffee farmers capture the full value of their labour."
