How are wholesale coffee prices set in Uganda? ▾
Uganda operates a liberalized coffee market. Prices are set at the Kampala auction and directly between exporters and buyers. Nonda prices are benchmarked to the UCDA daily auction rates, which reflect global ICE futures plus Uganda-specific premiums and discounts. The farmgate price is the minimum exporters must pay farmers -- Nonda pays 23% above that minimum.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for wholesale Ugandan coffee? ▾
Specialty Arabica grades (Bugisu AA, A, PB) start at 1 bag (60 kg) for sample orders. Commercial Robusta grades start at 20 bags (1.2 MT). Container-load orders (320 bags / 19.2 MT) receive the best per-kg pricing. See the tier cards above for full MOQ details per grade.
Are these prices FOB or CIF? ▾
All listed prices are FOB Mombasa (Free on Board), meaning export costs, transport to Mombasa port, and loading onto the vessel are included. CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight) pricing to your destination port is available on request. Contact us with your port for a CIF quote.
Do you offer volume discounts? ▾
Yes. At 20+ bags you receive 5% off the listed FOB price. At container load (320+ bags), we offer our best per-kg rate with dedicated FCL shipping and priority production scheduling. Annual contract buyers receive additional preferred pricing. Contact us for a custom volume quote.
How often do wholesale prices change? ▾
UCDA auction prices update daily. Nonda updates this pricing page weekly. For live same-day pricing, contact our export desk. Large-volume contracts can be locked at a fixed price for up to 90 days with a confirmed purchase order.
What payment terms do you accept? ▾
We accept Letter of Credit (LC) at sight, Telegraphic Transfer (TT) with 30% advance and 70% against shipping documents, and direct bank transfer. First-time buyers typically use LC. Established relationships may qualify for TT terms. All payments are in USD through our Stanbic Bank Uganda trade finance desk.
